 AT THE END

Life marries with time
death embraces them both
and leaves no mark or sign

 INDIFFERENCE

Before me the road
that you walk along
whether I run
or stay still
I am a wayfarer like you
and you don’t notice me
norIyou.

 WERE IT NOT FOR...

Child of the earth I am
on a treacherous ship in an even more treacherous sea
where can I approach the flowers
where can I stop
to talk to them freely?
Walls shadows chains
wordless mouths without words on the earth
flags fly in the wind.

 IT’S TOO MUCH

I have countless things to do and I don’t complain
but often, I feel like a chimpanzee
that swings fiom one tree to another and because of this jumping
I am also blamed, misunderstood, oppressed.

 IMPOTENCE

Twinkling planets in the sky
my gaze wanders from light to light,
in amazement I wonder
which are real, which false?
Small, diminished, limited,
how can I wear the skin of technology?
New energies are fast advancing
on how to learn all this progress:
atomic, conquest of the moon,
telematic mediators, biochemists
planetary spaces, genetics
no boundaries promiscuity DNA.
Time conditions me, I feel tangled up
in sounds and noises, new colours,
new trees, new plants, new flowers
language in diverse bearings
how to change brain, form, mind,
knowledge must circulate.
Everything is affected, everything is artificial,
natural freedom is diminished.

 CRIME

Men, disgust rises in my throat, chokes me, strangles me
shame reddens my face, burns me.
What right do I have to rise to justice,
what right have I to condemn a man
and force others to watch him die
I feel myself trembling, I feel something is missing
but this is not enough to rub out the iniquities.
No pity for he who falls, no pity for he who dies.
Justice must do justice. With what justice?
Where is the right to exist?

 UTOPIA

Walk on, walk on my love, far is the place where we want to stop.
I am tired, where do you want to take me?
Green meadows, bright skies,
pure water where nature is lovely and vaulted
a place like this cannot be found ...
Walk on, let’s overtake those stars beyond time
our world will seem rich and new, without wickedness.
Walk on, walk on, don’t stop
we cannot stop, together we must go, go, go.

 HOW

How can we fill the emptiness of the mind
if everyone lies, if everything lies,
society swallows me up,
where is the time to wipe my brother’s wet, burning cheek?

 NOT ENOUGH

For every ear of wheat, every fruit, every leaf,
a hungry mouth
creatures of murdered planets
there isn’t enough to eat,
billions of raised arms
with contracted stomachs ...
Men men
strip the roots, devour the earth.
